What is a reverse image search for faces?
A regular reverse image search looks for copies of an exact image file. A face search compares the facial features in your photo, so it also finds different photos of the same person — even when the image was cropped, filtered or re-uploaded.
Can I find someone by photo?
Yes. Upload the photo you have and FaceDetective searches public sources for faces that match. You get a similarity score for each result so you can judge how likely the match is.
Is a face finder search anonymous?
Your upload is only used to run your search. Nobody is notified that you searched for them, and your photo stays on your device during the free scan.
How accurate is the face search?
Match quality depends on the photo. A sharp, well-lit, front-facing image usually produces matches above 90% similarity. Confirming a few candidate profiles during the scan helps the model rank the remaining results.
