Refund Policy

1. All sales are final

When you unlock a report or buy lifetime access, the purchased content is delivered immediately and in full. We do not offer refunds, partial refunds, credits or cancellations after delivery, including where you are dissatisfied with what the results contain.

2. Why refunds are not possible

• Every scan triggers paid third-party search and image infrastructure queries. Those costs are charged to us the moment the search runs and cannot be reversed or resold.
• Compute, model inference and storage are consumed at the time of the scan, not at the time of payment.
• The product is the research work itself. Once performed and disclosed, it cannot be returned, revoked or un-seen.
• Access is granted instantly, so there is no undelivered portion of the purchase to reverse.

3. You see the result before you pay

The scan itself is free, and before any payment you can see how many matches were found, which platforms they came from and a preview of the results. Nothing is hidden about the volume or nature of what you are buying. Please review that preview carefully — paying to unlock is a decision to reveal results you have already been shown to exist.

4. What a purchase does and does not promise

• A purchase buys the performance of the search and access to the results it produced.
• It does not promise a specific number of matches, a specific person being found, or a specific platform appearing.
• It does not promise that results are accurate, complete or current; they are automated similarity estimates over public sources.
• Finding fewer results than hoped, or results you consider unhelpful, is not a defect and is not grounds for a refund.

5. Digital content and statutory withdrawal rights

Where consumer law grants a withdrawal or cooling-off period for digital content, that right lapses once supply has begun with your consent and your acknowledgement that you lose the right of withdrawal. By completing a purchase and unlocking your results, you expressly request immediate performance, consent to immediate supply, and acknowledge that you lose any statutory right of withdrawal once access is granted.

Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law that cannot be waived, or remedies available where digital content is not supplied at all.

6. The narrow exceptions

We correct genuine billing and delivery failures. We will investigate and, where verified, refund or restore access in these cases only:

• You were charged more than once for the same purchase.
• Payment was taken but no access was granted at all, and we cannot restore it.
• The charge was not authorised by you or by anyone permitted to use your payment method.
• A refund is required by applicable mandatory law.

Report any of the above to support@facedetective.io within 14 days of the charge, with the account email, the date and the payment reference. Our preferred remedy is to restore or re-deliver access; where that is not possible we refund the affected amount to the original payment method.

7. Chargebacks

Please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank; most issues are resolved faster directly. Filing a chargeback for a delivered purchase is a breach of the Terms of Service and may result in immediate termination of access, and we will submit the delivery and access records to the payment provider.

8. Termination for misuse

Access terminated for breach of the Terms of Service or the Acceptable Use Policy, including stalking, harassment, uploading images of minors or attempting to bypass protected previews, is not refunded.

9. Lifetime access

Lifetime access is a one-time payment with no subscription and nothing to cancel; there are no recurring charges to stop. It covers the lifetime of the service as operated by us and is personal to your account. If the service is discontinued, we will give reasonable notice and, where practical, an opportunity to export your reports; discontinuation does not create a right to a refund of a one-time payment already delivered.
